Default What color is my interior trim stuff?

I have the warm charcoal interior but am trying to figure out what the trim around the windshield is. My left pillar trim was broken from a botched phone install by the PO and I bought another from ebay that is supposed to be "canvas" but is several shades lighter than what I have. Any idea what the beige tone windshield header trim is called?

Up at the top of this page. There is an option called tools. It hides a drop down menu; one of the options on the dropdown is VIN decoder. If you put your VIN in the box after bringing up the VIN decoder you will receive, amongst other information, the color of the inside trim for your car. that should give you the information you want.

Thanks Ralph, already been there but that's just generic XKR info. I'm trying to ascertain what color my off-white windshield header trim is. There is apparently oatmeal, canvas, cashmere and maybe others that may match. I don't know if there is some sticker somewhere that identifies that.

There is a sticker inside the driver-side door jam, has the VIN, ext and int info and tire pressure stuff. It is a code, so you'll need to search for that code.

True, but that sticker only tells me the trim color, not the windshield header. It tells me the trim is charcoal.

It should have two colors associated with the code, but anyway.....
Are you sure it isn't Alcantara?

Yes, it's the alcantara but there seems to be several shades that Jaguar used in the 150's.

I wonder if you could buy a set of sample materials of the different possibilities from an upholstery supply, then make your pick from those?

One of the members from SoCal is in the wholesale cloth business and has offered his help a number of times to members who are looking for replacement head liners. Do a search in the forum, it should pop up.

I've got a custom auto upholstery shop looking for the right color with that foam backing now. Sounds like things are about to get more expensive.
