Default wheel refinishing

Hi,
I am going to refinish the Sentra wheels on my auto.
Are they actually two piece wheels held together by those surrounding bolts?
or
are the bolts simply decoration?
I want to remove them in order to do the refinishing.
thanks for any insight

Purely cosmetic. Just be careful removing them as the alloy’s quite soft.

The shop that refinished mine, removed and reinstalled them, I didn’t have to do it.

Thanks,
are you suggesting they may pull the aluminum threads when I remove or just be careful not to cross thread?
