Default Window Control Switch/grab handle cover

I am trying to get to the driver door switch and cannot remove the grab handle cover shown below from the manual



Is there any special technique as I've been pulling very hard and can't get it to budge.

Since you are trying to remove a cover, and not the grab bar itself, you could try getting a trim removal tool under the cover (between the cover and the main part of the bar) to pry it off. I'd try from the bottom side first.
Haven't looked at the handle closely, so I didn't know there was a cover on there.

You don't remove the handle cover, you have to remove the whole door panel in one piece.

There are screws on the lower side of the handle, but these hold the door card to the door.

Yep been able to remove door panel in one piece but can't remove the window switch so looking at the manual its says to remove the grab bar but its proving very obstinate .

To avoid any confusion I'm looking to remove the window/mirror electrical switch.

Unless you have an 07, in which case there is no veneer, its all one piece.
Looks like you need to use a small screw driver to push in from the end to release that barbed plastic prong?

Thanks that's "just the ticket". I got hung up on the manual step 1 but just moving onto the next step and out it comes. BTW no wonder I couldn't move the grab handle cover as its screwed in not clipped like shown in the manual.

Yes, I believe it must have been redesigned after the manual was written because the are 3 screws buried inside the door card that must be removed in order to get the cover off, I know because I did mine so I could get rid of the horrible leather wrap.
