Wrecked 2013 XKR-S available in Oregon
Guess I didn't look close enough.
Makes sense only driver side, that means the sensors inside work OK and didn't blow the PAX side for no reason.

CJ all of this discussion seems to be a feeler by the OP to see if there is an interest in buying the salvaged car. Back in 1970 I blew the engine in my 66 E type caused by a broken timing chain. I bought a wrecked E type for the engine from a guy who wrecked it and who took the salvaged value from the insurance company and kept the car. Unless insurance companies have changed this is the same situation. So until he goes through the appraisal process and the offer by the ins. co. , this is a exercise in who wants first bid on parts. For all we know the car may be repairable. So it's a wait and see and hopefully the OP will keep us up as to how this all plays out.
When one of my cars ('98 Mercedes E430)was rear-ended and totaled, the Insurance company gave me a choice of one payout if I didn't keep the car or a lower payout if I kept the car. I kept the car, got it repaired (for the amount the insurance company gave me), changed the title to salvage, and have continued driving the car for the past 4 years since the accident. It has been a great car, and I am glad we repaired it.

This was never anything pricey, and there was no lien holder.
I can't see how doing all that OR parting it out a $50K automobile would end up being beneficial. Too much work for minimal gains, IMO.
OP never really said what the car was used for or it's financial status. In my case I'd bolt on a whatever nose and run it until I could find the correct one.
I bought my totaled '88 Mustang and did a 5.0 swap into my '68 Ranchero in 1995, then sold most of the car to recoup costs.

Sorry to have posted this and disappeared for a while, I've gotten fairly busy and it makes me physically ill to think about it.
The story is that I'm an idiot and had suspended collision coverage to save a few hundred bucks over the winter, when I was seldom (and gently) driving it. This obviously bit me in the *** in a huge way, as my insurance is not covering this damage. Fortunately, the car was paid for and my fiancee (who is also an owner) was mostly happy that I wasn't injured. I'm not sure I wouldn't be happier if I had been injured, or at least she was pissed. We could put a lot of money into trying to have the car repaired, but we've decided that it probably wasn't the smartest thing for me (an idiot) to drive anyway. My next fun car might be a GTI or something that wouldn't be so unforgiving of my heavy right foot.
So, ideally we would like to find someone that would like to repair it, or would at least pay a reasonable amount for it as a parts car. Everything that does not show damage in the photos really is in very close to perfect condition. Please let me know if you have any proposals or ideas. Thanks.

If she's not pissed, you're in big trouble, for a long time to come.
She knows she's got this 'big thing' that she can just pull out her pocket, and hold over your head, whenever she needs to.
Feel for you man, good luck with that future...

I propose that if you can't let go of your emotional attachment to the car, you should fix it and keep it. If you can, post up a price and get ready for the lowballers. Otherwise, I'll start the bidding at a buck.
Start getting some estimates and look into some of the auction companies. Also might want to check back with your insurance company and see if they would give you an estimate of value. Unfortunately you will most likely take a bath.
You are looking at it all wrong.
There are many folks who change the exact parts you lost (fenders, hood, lights, bumper) without even having a crash.
Have a look-http://grantleydesign.com/xkr-2006-on.html
Even if you had insurance, its not free, it would be $10k (the amount you pay in and the subsequent increase)
Now if you do what you are proposing, its a sure way of losing $20k. If you fix it, you technically lose very little. It could have been a total loss. Heavens gave you a break.
Just find someone (like Grantley) who can repair this reasonably with competence.

I dunno, maybe just do an even-swap. The OP gets a drive-able car, and Ranchero gets a new project to work on!
Had an idea-
You need to connect with Grantley.
They may want to subsidize a photo and video shoot- they have in the past.
Also they may have inquires/leads from USA that you could field/sell your car to.
Your car is what Grantley wants. They need your services- connecting the dots may be less work than the alternative.
There is a chance to make a lemon meringue out of this one.

Sorry to see the hit on the car. Glad you are OK. Cars can be repaired or replaced, people can not.
That being said, if you part the XKR-S out, I'd like first crack at the two front seats.
Feff
