x pipe exhaust question

I'm talking about XK 5000 engine with original pipe the most closely is 2 for x pipe in state of 2.25 there is a gap.
This is info is from my exhaust specialist he masure the pipe. 😁
I'm planning to install XPipe and I will share the results.

I'm little confused my exhaust specialist he told me to order 2 inch in state of 2.25 which one is the correct one
any advice 😁 to fit properly in ORIGINAL pipe ?

Original pipe is Metric spec. There's also the confusion about how the size is measured. Tubing measurement is typically the outside diameter, pipe is the inside. You need to allow for the material thickness as well.

The XKRS-GT makes pretty impressive power through the factory sized stuff. Makes you wonder about who knows what's best for the 5.0...

And yet what is best for these pipes, to order 2 and the master to stretch them a little, or to order 2.25 and put the original tube in the x pipe to cover. By the way I do not know the standard when doing such an intervention should the original pipe enter into the X pipe to cover it?
