Default XK 2015 - Invery BlueTooth Hack

Hey everyone,

I just purchased an Invery BlueTooth accessory kit for my XK 2015. It fits the iPod jack fine, and is successfully transmitting audio via BlueTooth from my phone through the iPod channel. However, the only catch is that only the passenger side speaker is playing (and the center speaker + passenger speaker if on 3-ch mode). Does anyone have any advice about how to fix this glitch? All speakers are fully functional when playing the radio/CD sources.

Thanks in advance for your advice

Was it the official Jaguar lead that you used or a clone/copy? A link to where you purchased it from would be good.

Do you have the opportunity to try it in another car.and check the results

I wasn’t aware Jaguar sold a BlueTooth adapter? If you could send me a link that would be greatly appreciated. (Just to clarify, the objective is to be able to play music from my Spotify app on my iPhone via BlueTooth).

Jaguar don't sell a BlueTooth adapter for music. MarkyUK was asking about the lead because you most likely either have a faulty lead or BlueTooth device.

The device you have bought looks like a clone of the Bovee 1000 which is what a lot of people, including me, use to stream music.

I suspect it's the lead rather than the device itself purely as you are getting sound but just not to all speakers.

But then it could be the pin connectors from the bluetooth device itself

Thanks everyone. The problem appears to be a temporary issue that resolves itself. For anyone experiencing similar symptoms in future, I’ve outlined a few important observations below:

- All symptoms disappeared the next time I started the car the following day. The Invery device streamed perfectly, and all speakers are now operating including the driver’s side speaker.

- That same day, a Bovee device I had ordered as a back-up arrived, so I thought I’d test it out of curiosity. Upon disconnecting the Invery and connecting the Bovee, exactly the same symptoms reappeared. In an attempt to resolve the issue I reconnected the Invery, and the problem persisted. After several attempts, the result was the same across both devices, so I left the Invery connected over night to see if it would resolve itself again. The next day, everything worked perfectly and there hasn’t been an issue since. (The car has been stopped and started 5 times throughout the day and it perfectly connects, streams, and plays through all speakers).

I will update this thread if any issues occur again in future.

Hopefully this is technical a glitch with my specific vehicle, but thought I’d outline the experience in case it’s helps anyone else out there.

Very nice, looks to be way cheaper than the WMA1000 Bovee, if it works well then all good.

Have never seen your reported issue, might be something with your Ipod cable or car port?

Default Invery bluetooth

Thanks for the heads up on the Invery Bluetooth. Got mine from Amazon and it solved the issue of connecting iPhone 14 for music in my 2010 XK Coupe. Kudos!

Having same issue with Invery Bluetooth only has sound on the right side. I did everything from searches, ie went in to my iPhone and checked assessablity mono etc .. all is set up correct. It’s been 2 days and so far hasn’t changed like the OP which I wish it did. May return it to Amazon but if there is a fix that be great.

Out of interest, if you've got one these gizmos and an iPhone (mine's a 13), are you able to pair the phone to the car for calls at the same time as it's paired to the device for music playback?

I just got it from Amazon, it pairs and shows the songs etc. Can control the songs from the steering wheel and volume.. my iPhone also pairs with my car too for calls etc.

it just plays the music only from the right side. It’s so frustrating as it’s so close to being perfect. I had a Bovee in my 09 BMW m3 and it worked perfect. Amazon Canada only has the invery so perhaps it’s just a cheap version of the bovee 1000. It just seems like I need one setting changed or something ? My Xkr is a 09 has the iPhone connector in the Center storage. I’m hoping some how it just starts to play correctly.

That's good to hear.

Re your problem, I would suspect the adapter cable between the iPod socket and the device.

When I decided to do this I ordered a 'clone' cable on line, before I noticed a used genuine Jaguar one on eBay - and I bought that too. The genuine Jag cable and the clapped out old iPod work perfectly together. The clone adapter did not, and went in the bin.

I have this one, and it works fine, sounds better than I expected. Cable is hard connected to the device, and plugs h directly to the car iPod plug using the Jag iPod cable.

Default Changing the start song?

has anyone found a way to change the first song played using the Invery?
would like specify first play song or set to pick up from last play always.

About half the time Invery starts with the first song in alphabetically in my library while the other half, Invery will pick up from last song, playlist, album.

thought there was a thread on this but can’t find it.

2012 XK Convertible, southeastern US.

What's best the Bovee or the the Ivery? Maybe I'm not doing something correctly (although I tried many times). I tried the Bovee 6 months ago and had issues making it work , so I returned it to Amazon... I still would like to have something to play Pandora.... I'm not giving up yet... 2010 XK.

I've been using the Bovee for 3 years and I haven't had any major issues. Maybe once a year I have to unplug the ipod cable and then plug it back in, then it's fine again.

The only thing that I haven't taken the time to figure out is how to get the song titles to display on the center touchscreen. Something about having a song in a specific music folder on your phone, or some such shenanigans. I have my phone in a holder anyway so I don't care to fight with it.

Bottom line: Bovee gets a strong thumbs up from me, overall.
