Default XK visits Stonehenge (ll) in Texas

My GF and I went for my birthday drive yesterday.

We drove to Kerrville had a nice lunch and then off to Ingram, where an eccentric’s recreation of Stonehenge has been relocated to. I viewed the original back in the early 70’s when one could touch the pillars and climb on them. Fast forward to 1990 and I visited this Texas version on a rancher’s property. Back then it appeared more realistic as the entire circle’s upper connecter were not there. The now deceased rancher’s heirs donated the creation to a historic society and they eventually reconstructed it with their take on what the shape was like back in the BC days.

Mt GF playing peek-a-boo

and the requisite, Jag in the photo as per GGG.

I can imagine the excitement at the Historic Society when they received the news about a "large donation" ..... and the consternation when they found out what it was and that they had to move it!

I'm trying to think how I would go about getting a photo of my car with the original Stonehenge. When I visited last year (different car), I don't remember many angles that could work.

That is called Cadillac Ranch, and it is in Texas. I see what your saying though.

CeeJay nailed it, here is some old history:

the psychedelic grafics were added over the years by visitors. They are now planted elsewhere.
