Bought my XKR last June and always thought there was a little more road noise from the passengers side than from the drivers side, asked the Aberdeen dealer to check the passenger window out when it was in for a separate warranty issue. They reported nothing wrong but could replace all the roof seals for around £600+!!

Fitted the Jag Wrangler kit and I can now close the rear quarter lights with the roof down and I notice that the rear passenger quarter light 4window stops short (about 5mm) of aligning with the passenger door winkdow, and the seal is fixed to the quarter light so it will never fully engage with the roof when the roof is up and thus I assume is the source of the apparent road noise! So I have already reset the all the windows when I installed the roof kit is there another technique for resetting them manually, say when the roof is down so I can see that the window goes fully up! Appreciate any help on this!

Footnote - the noise was apparent before fitting the Jag Wrangler roof kit so the fitting of the kit has nothing to do with but it has allowed me to see where the problem is.

 

The rear quarter window position can be adjusted, but you will need to remove the interior quarter trim, which is a bit tricky, to get to the adjusting bolts.
