Default XKR Door Handle Cover

Hey Folks,

I'm just trying to find a new or used XKR Door Handle Cover (Just the small part that covers the keyhole) for the driver's door of my 2010 XKR. The dealer can get the part, but it is understandably unpainted. It is Ultimate metallic black. Any idea's?

As an alternative, consider chrome door pull covers.

EXCEPT that just sticks on to the top edge of the original, it does not replace anything and therefore does not solve the problem presented here.

To the OP, you can try for used ones on eBay or places like Pacific Motors in Michigan or buy from the dealer. Paint match for something that small is super easy.

Good to keep in mind that when ordering a used one off Ebay I have seen many resellers list the part as the exact same one that fits on an XF. The XK model is a bit taller.

Budster,
Since you're already in Los Angeles, there is a Jaguar wrecking yard in Sun Valley in the SFV that specializes in Jaguar parts. My mechanic and I have ordered parts from them many, many times. You might want to look them up and give them a call. It's called Elite Auto Parts.

A part that small, can be rattle canned successfully. Purchase the color paint through company like "Automotive Touchup" I've used these in the past an they work well. It's a two-stage application (base/clear)

Thanks Red, I'll check them out.

Haven't heard back from the salvage yard yet. The dealer wants $41 for that tiny unpainted part.

Did you ask the Forum sponsors who sell parts for a quote, including any discounts for Forum members? When I needed to replace the sliding cupholder cover in my XJ, SNG Barratt had the lowest delivered price compared to all the internet vendors.

As Mama said, "You better shop around."

Those were the days!
