Cambo's XKR portfolio recently received the full XKR-S treatment.

By memory 13, 15 & 18mm sockets were used along with a T60 bit for the front.

With the spring compressors make sure you use three as the coils are very firm.

It was actually pretty easy. I used a generic version of the factory coil spring compressor (with higher graded bolts that I also bought) and was glad I did when I had to compress the aftermarket springs:

You may also want to check all of your bushings and replace them at the same time. My XKR only has 18k miles but I had a couple of rear bushings that were dry rotted. I was pleased to find out that the bushings on the Jag (with the exception of the control arms) are NOT pressed in and just bolt on and off.

Went for Adamesh springs which lowers the car 25mm. Spires only lowered 20mm but I wanted a little more! :-)
Car is going of the road for winter end of October so a nice winter project.
Pics will be uploaded in spring! :-D

Good luck with it peter

Be sure to change the rear drop links and toe link rods (very common to fail)

Changed the front springs today and will do the rear tomorrow.
Had no problems, car is in very good condition so all bolts came of with no problem. It's a joy to work on a car that's clean and rust free!:-)

Will do the rear tomorrow which on paper looks a lot easier but you never know.:-)

Will have a look at the drop links and toe link bars but first glance today they look really good and I have no knocking in the car.

Your car looks great in white. I love the rear spoiler, I think it looks better than the carbon wing on my XKR-S. I may have to look into changing mine out.

Here's what H&R lists for our cars. I'm good with my XKR-S stock ride height, but I'd like to try a stiffer spring up front or softer in the rear. I'm considering going to 305/30-20 on my 10.5" rear rims, not sure if I could do that and add spacers. It might make sense to do the 15mm front spacers with the stock 255s and thinner or no rear spacers with the 305s.
H&R Special Springs, LP.

ECS Tuning has the spacers for $113 with free shipping.

Great taste in colour lol.. I literally just picked up the same car but 2013 and found this thread because I’m looking for the proper size wheel spacers and now you got me thinking of lowering the Cat when I said I never would lol...

In case you haven't found it, 20mm front and 15mm rear spacers, do them before suspension as personally I don't think it needs lowering once the spacers are on!

Thanks, I get a lot of looks and complaints on the car where ever I go or just filling up at the gas stations.
I have all my cars lowered, think they look better that way. The Jag is the lowest, but also the funniest to drive.
Wheel front spacers are the 20mm they rub from time to time when you hit a turn to aggressive and hit a bump , you can roll the inside of the fender a bit it needed to eliminate that. Rears are fine at 15mm.

And great choice in car color! Looks great after a nice wash and wax.

I have new P Zeros..295’s in the rear on my 20x10 Oronas.. do you think 15mm in the rear would be too much for my 2012 XKR?

I still need to check if the oronas have enough room to mount the H&R spacers (center hub clearance).

That’s a great look!
