Have pulled fuse 19 on my 2010 xkr, not loud enough.

For those of you that have deleted the rear muffler / backbox, is it too loud? Is the drone bad?

Watched a few videos but it also doesn’t seem that loud (but realize videos don’t do it justice)

 

Thanks for your information,was going to remove rear mufflers , thinking I should add glass packs , or something that should work, you open my eye on your experience,

 

You have to be somewhat careful adding to the exhaust system, some combinations create a terrible drone.
Also consider replacing the center resonators with an X pipe. That won't make it louder though, just let the gasses escape more efficiently creating a tiny bit more power. Some say it quiets, but it does make a satisfying afterfire sound.

 

Muffler delete confirmed to be too loud.

Stock headers and resonators, no muffler.

Probably double the volume vs. stock, adds a ton of drone, sounds like a truck down low, but absolutely screams/shouts at the top end. It has an unrefined quality which I didnt like.
