Yeah, was a big day.
The XKR Portfolio had the same ride height as the regular XKR.
According to the book, the 4.2L XKR-S was 10mm lower at the front and 15mm lower at the rear than the XKR, those are the springs & shocks we put in today.

Did you change up the control arms too? Or did the alignment satisfy you?
I have been wondering on how to proceed with my next bushings replacement and have been considering changing the whole lot (including springs and dampers)
Damn I wish I lived in your neck of the woods...

OK, need to ask:

I gave the workshop the factory specs for the "XK Dynamics Pack Option and XKR-S - 2009 up to 2010 MY" and asked them to set it according to that.
When we picked up the car the tech told me that the settings were "maxxed out on the pins" so basically it ran out of adjustment, and this was the best they could do...
To be honest i'm not thrilled about that and will look into how to resolve the problem.
The rubber boots on the wishbones are all starting to split, so sometime down the track it'll need a full set of wishbones.
Biggest gripe for me right now is the camber on the rear axle, which as you know is not adjustable. My left rear is -1°05', the right rear is -0°53', and that cannot be "fixed" easily.
For the front adjustment being "maxxed out" I have an idea. There are two types of cammed bolt for these cars, one is listed for "4.2L Supercharged" the other is "except 4.2L Supercharged", so it's worth checking what the difference is between these two, since the 5.0L Supercharged cars would have a different bolt than what's in mine now...
Then there's the "special" rear lower wishbones from the 4.2L XKR-S, not sure what makes them so special, guess i'll find out soon enough... we can see what the camber looks like after those go in, along with new rear upper wishbones, and then start thinking about shims or something...

You could take out the control arm bolts in the rear and elongate the holes in the tabs so the rear camber can be adjusted. It's what some of the Lincoln LS guys do when they install lowering springs. The LS camber bolt kits for the front might fit the rears as well, but I can't confirm. Just a thought
