Hey guys n gals… been dealing with a remote issue for months did all the typical fob battery and replaced the covers and fob itself, all dealer , it still acts up all the time where it won’t lock unless you hold near rear view mirror, I ordered a remote antenna module and decided to replace myself as it’s just inside near the rear view mirror under the light bezel, now that it’s in the car does not recognize my keys to start or lock, anyone know how to reprogram or take it back to dealer to have them use the pdu….. it’s a 2011 XKR 175… ThX for the help

 

Remove that new module, replace it with the old one, and see if you can start the engine.

The Smartkey is married (electronically paired) to the car. I suspect that when you installed the new module, it got divorced and your Smartkey became an orphan. You can't reprogram it yourself unless you have the proprietary Jaguar software.

If you can't start the car you may have to get it towed to the dealer. Before you do that, call locksmiths in your area and see if they can come to your house and reprogram the Smartkeys for your 2011 XKR.
