Default XKR-S GT

I know the XKR-S GT was a limited production.

But is there an actual number on how many XKR-S GT's they made? They intended 30 but then made more for the UK. Was it only 45 in total? Becuase I have seen some for sale and I might be interested if it's so rare.

rare and valuable don’t always go together. But if youre into driving something that only few ever get to experience, this is the car for you.

The last one I saw (posted in the quoted thread above) was just recently reduced and listed at $80,000 US, and I assume it sold for that amount, as the advert has now been taken down. It had ~10,000 miles on it.

Were any made for Europe, I thought it was just the UK and NA?

If you wanted a LHD one you'd need to purchase from the US and ship

Earlier in the year when I was looking for a 2014 XKR I was tempted, but the lack of rear storage/seats and the small hike in power didn't make sense to me. As to an appreciating classic, this one is £85k with less than 18k miles...so I don't think they'll hold their prices

I did remember reading that parts and servicing are a little lacking in Sweden though, with many having to be sourced from the UK...which takes time...and of course money!

Value is based off of what newer vehicles have done in the past 4 years compared to the -GT. I guess it all depends on what you want.

Yeah. People want rare for $$$ purposes. That’s weak investment. If the idea of how much you paid strokes the ego, go buy a new anything and wait for someone to pay you more or as much as you did. Only a few items will do that for you. Sports model Rolex, Porsches, Ferrari, Duesenberg or American muscle. Its just the way it is. A rare Jag is like a rare Omega Speedmaster or Seamaster Diver. Nobody wants it until, everybody wants it. Thats how I feel about rare items

True story here..... about.. Five (???) years ago I ALMOST bought a 1984 Lamborghini Countach for $105,000. Had the price negotiated prior to deposit, had a way to get there and drive it back, even had a guy local to where it was (Miami) set to do the PPI when I got there. Well, for a couple reasons I didn't pull the trigger. Now I'm kicking my own *** because That Exact same spec car now sells for over FOUR HUNDRED GRAND.
Yes, Countach prices went up 400% in a couple years, and now cost as much or more than a new Aventador.
I lost $300,000 because I got nervous.
