XKR timing chain issues - safe VIN?

And not meaning to hijack this: out of interest, the Ford ecoboost 2.0 turbo engine in my LR2 had a chain mishap this winter... at only 100,000 km. LR gave me a new engine and turbo, at their expense.
But that 4.2 supercharged in the xkr just keeps going and going.
