You need an unlocked SDD diagnostic system to enable the Voice functions.

On a 2009MY-onward everything should be there in place already, just needs to be turned on using SDD.

For the 2007-2008 cars it's the same story as for the reverse camera, DAB digital radio, etc, we need to update the touchscreen software to the 2009MY level, again this needs SDD and it's quite a job to do it.

 

I have FORSee for my Ford truck, and since Jags are pretty much Fords.................

FORScan is the equivalent of SDD, but for supposedly Fords only.

 

No, FORScan is an aftermarket system, reverse-engineered from Ford IDS. The IDS is the Ford equivalent of JLR SDD. Actually SDD is based on IDS.

But that doesn't matter, because the Ford diagnostic systems don't work on Jaguars. Definitely not possible to edit a Jaguar Car Configuration File using a Ford tool.
