Default XKR X150 molding / vent wing same as XF SC?

Dear all,

Been a member for a pretty long time, recently extended my collection (S-Type, XJR) with an almost new XKR X150 2009.

Am bringing it into the perfect condition now and therefore am replacing some elements and doing some repairs along the way.

Got a question.

Am practically missing (badly scratched) a so-called fender / molding / vent wing on the right side. Found a proper part number - C2P17829XXX. This part is pretty rare and is in transit now, gonna take some time.

Also found a strangely similar part for XF SC, the numbers on the detail show these: 8W83-280B10-В + 6W83-001B40-AC.

Does anybode have any knowledge whether these were similar or I am being mislead here?

Am ready to provide any additional details.

Thank you all very much in advance!

I'm also interested to hear if anyone knows for sure. I have an XK and my neighbor has an XF, and I agree that the two parts look similar. It would be plausible considering how many parts the two cars share (interior, powertrain, etc).

Does C2P17829XXX fit a 2009 XF SC? Doubtful.

Interesting because if you put them side by side they're nothing alike. XF first, XK second

My fenders look like your picture #2, but without the light.

The Definitive Thread About Side Vents
It's a fun read:

Vote For Your Favorite X150 Side Vents
See Post #7 for the Vent Grilles that cost over $2,000! Compare them to the standard $300 Aluminum Louvres.
They look the same, until you look closer.

Well that’s good because as I stated, pic #2 is YOUR car but you said you bought XF vents and the XF X250 vent as you can see in pic #1 is nothing like the X150 vent.
