No joke, panthera999, no matter where you are, it would be more rational for me to drive the car to you than to try to manipulate electrons for my own good. "A man's got to know his limitations", is one of the truest statements ever made.

That said, I'm still doing battle with the OEM light. Having the replacement light to test and probe is a big help. if somebody put it together, then give me enough time and I'll see about getting it fixed. Wish me luck.

You are living dangerously, as your illuminated Growler badge is illegal in California because it is red. According to California laws, personal vehicles may not display red lights at the front. That's restricted to emergency vehicles.

I'm pretty sure that's the law in all states in the USA.

lol, I'm 74, lived in TX and FLA and have never seen...or noticed...a red light on the front of any vehicle. I'd be wondering whether a cop would issue something when it isn't a red light, just back ground on a badge.

I had a TDPS trooper turn around on a freeway to issue a 'warning' on my mazda 3, sedan. It had dealer license plate frame which had a clear covering over the license plate.
So

Please tell me you were doing about 130, which had to be the only reason you got his attention. His eyesight can't have been that good, so maybe you had the nitrous on full boost?

I don't have a night picture handy, but I have a ring CFL around my Growler, it's hooked up to the 'parking' lights. It's pretty bright, and it's a white light instead of yellowish.

I don't have one on the replacement XK but dig the look either way.

Man, I dunno, I really like that cat on the hood. Never had a Jag without one, so I need to think about it. Thanks for the pic

Well, despite all the good, considered, experienced advice, I couldn't help it. Every Jag we've ever had sported a leaper on the hood and this one does too....now. Had a kid pull up next to me and ask, "Hey, is that one of those Masirattis?", and that sealed the deal; I ordered a Leaper that afternoon in order to make that everybody knows its a Jag.

Agreed that I should have the common decency to at least present a proper perspective of the beauty. More on that shortly.

Also, as a salute to my Porsche roots where the wheel cap's crest's point always faces the valve stem, I placed the JagJaw toward the valve. Is that the rule, or just something made up to divide us true believers from the......er.....a...the rest?
