Default Girling Brake Fluid : XK150

What specific brake fluid takes the place of Girling Brake Fluid?

hello,

Any DOT 3 or DOT 4 specs Brake Fluid will be a good replacement.

Regards,
Peter Jan ( Xk150, 3.8 S-type )

Default brake fluid

as said, any Dot 3 or 4, standard or HD, but NOT silicone. Castrol GT LMA is always a good choice. Brake fluid absorps moisture from the air, so use fresh fluid always, tightly seal any container. Brake fluid spills bubbles paint !! Always protect fender paint with a vinyl topped fender mat or similar and use extreme care. Fanatics flush/replace fluid every so often..year or two or three..fearing water in the fluid, which will corrode wheel cylinders etc unless they have been replaced with stainless or similar. The proximit of the master cyl to exhaust can heat the m/cyl and fluid, so the higher temp rated fluids are a good idea. (thus also a heat shield on the xk120/tandem.)
