I'm going to paint my xk 120 fhc. It's originally red. But the car has been sandblasted by a previous owner, so I can't see the old color. However, I can see it inside the doors.
I've researched what I could about this color. What I've found is that there is no code for this color, only that it is red.
When I look at pictures of red xk 120s online, there are countless different colors of red. So my question is, how do I find the right color?
Some say that jaguar red is signal red, others say it's caramin red..
I tried to order a liter of paint from a paint store and stated that it was a jaguar xk 120 from 1952 and the color was just red. The color I got was much more wine red than the color I see inside my doors. The color in the doors is much more reddish yellow or signal red..
