XK120 rack and pinion upgrade how to
Anyone out there know, or know of, a how-to or step by step procedure or writeup to upgrade the 120 steering to rack & pinion? I know it's been done many times, but I can't find any write up or picture go-bys with what might be needed and the possibilities. Right now I am only contemplating doing this, but need to know exactly what it involves before I can make any kind of cogent decision.
It may well be it is beyond my means/ability or there is some other drawback that would negate it. I know all about the desirability of keeping the car original, but nonetheless, I'm interested in this procedure. Jaguar even put R&P steering on their 140.
I have gotten something from one kind fellow, but thought there might be more out there. I have a lot of thoughts on the matter, but there is no sense in reinventing the wheel here.
Any help/knowledge?
