Most I have found are very expensive, this looks like the same as what we have. Mine is busted in a couple of spots

1998-2003 JAGUAR VANDEN PLAS TRANSMISSION SHIFTER COVER - eBay (item 360349078897 end time Apr-02-11 12:09:47 PDT)

I too had the cover plate busted up on my 99 XK8. I was able to get just the cover plate (not the whole J-gate assembly your link shows) from someone who was parting out an XK8. Those J-gate assemblies go for a couple of hundred new and the cover plate doesn't come separate. However, the price your eBay seller is asking isn't too bad. I believe that part is identical to the XK8 - if it isn't though, you could disassemble it (pretty easy) to get to just the cover. BTW, you could also ask my seller if he has another cover plate. His eBay moniker is 'wherejagscometodie'. Sad but useful.
