I recently bought a 2001 XK8 with premium sound and can't get my cd player to work. Have CD in 6 disc sleave , the right way and keep getting no cd msg

 

Can you remove the cartridge without problem?

Are you 100% sure the disc isn't in upside down? (guess I read too fast mate)

Are any of these discs homemade? (I suppose the question should be are all of them homemade, just want to verify these should be easily read by the unit)

I hope it is something really easy, that's why I asked the above ?.

I suppose plugging / unplugging by the changer wouldn't hurt. As I recall it takes a bit of effort to separate that plug, it is normal.
