Default 01 XK8 radio error code

I left my key turned on and the battery went dead. I charged the battery backup with a 10 AMP charger. Now the radio nor CD work. Whenever I turn on the radio the display simply says CODE. Is there something I need to reset? Any help would be greatly appreciated,
JH

That is strange. I was under the impression that US cars didn't need a code for the radio. Try looking in your owner's manual and any other documentation that came with the car as it should be there somewhere.

My 2000 XKR did not require a Radio Code after replacing the Battery.

However a Code Card was included with the Owner's Manual.

I have seen some cars that were originally delivered in Canada that had differences compared to US Cars.

I believe that a Radio (that requires a code) can be re-programmed to never need one again. I think that most US cars had this done before delivery.

In any case, A Jaguar Dealership should be able to obtain the Code.

I think that the very early US cars required a code. You didn't state what year your car is. I'm guessing it's a 97. Maybe even a 96, but there were very few of those.
