Exhaust shop found the EGR pipe is leaking. Of course, part not available. Research says replacement is 7-8hrs. If I can find a replacement, is cost of part and labor worth it?
All the on-line Jag dealers in the States show them available. Brutally expensive. eBay shows a used one, too. Maybe the exhaust shop isn't trying all that hard?
The EGR tube on my cars with EGR is pretty stout. Did they say how it developed a leak?
I doubt that the EGR delete applies to later cars.
The North American X100 did not get the SuperCharged engine until 2000MY and the VVT took care of the emission requirements in place of the EGR.
The SuperCharged cars were required to have EGR because they lacked VVT.
Each year model has it's own set of emission regulations and the Normally Aspirated AJ26 engines had VVT so I guess the 'delete' was granted to Jaguar.
