Battery disconnected for repair. Started car and got "CODE" readout. Tried code on dealer card, no good. Found another code handwritten in Owners manual. Now radio displays "PLEASE WAIT" and will not take a code. How do you erase PLEASE WAIT and return display to "CODE"?

If you enter the incorrect code THREE TIMES, it takes a few hours with the key ON, RADIO ON and then try again?

 

As crazy as it sounded, it worked!
