Jaguar left the Strut covers and plastic dress nut caps for the strut bolts off for 2004-2006. It looks horribly unfinished. After searching for a set of NJA3975BB, pre-04 XKR Stut Covers I found them not availble from any parts supplier. NJA3975AB is the part number for the XK non CATS variety.

With help from another forum member I bought a set of NJA3975AB covers and nut caps on Ebay. They came in this moring and I have them already installed. You do not have to search for the NJA3975BB as it is the same identical part.

Jaguar made the same cover with both part numbers on the same piece. The AB covers have a wiring harnes cut out impression inside and ou,t with an intergal thin wall of plasic section left in place for the XK without the wiring. The BB version is simply an AB with the Harness entry section knocked out. I convered the AB covers to BB in less than two minutes by removing the plastic filler and popped them on the car. I now have a set of impossible to find NJA3975BB covers on the car with strut bolt covers.

Even though Jaguar never put them on in the first places it sure gives the engine bay a more finished appearance than the dangling exposed connector and harness.

 

Great idea. My 05 8 looks the same (unfinished) way, so will search ebay. If you have a quick reference, would appreciate same.

I bought mine from this same seller and they were delivered in 2 days from the west coast in show condition. Remember the cover comes with 3 plastic caps for the strut bolts. You will need 2 sets of 4 pieces. I could not find a single parts supplier that has them including area junk yards that have a few XK's.

Can you post some photos once you get these installed?

Actually what looks fantastic are the billet aluminum ones that I have seen from a couple of sources. They look great but were more than I wanted to spend for a bit of bling. But maybe somebody can get a group buy together?
