Default 04-06 XKR Service Action J026

I just received this in the mail yesterday and I am passing this along as a courtesy to those who may not get an update from Jaguar as I am not sure how many original owners (subsequent owners and dealers) will really take the time use the "Information Change Form".

*** SEE ATTACHMENT IN POST #2*** DUOH!

This is a follow up to the J004 service action to the ECM. If your car had this service action completed you should have a dealer applied decal placed near your emissions information in the engine bay. (If the decal was applied properly)

Note: there is a typo in the "What is the issue?" paragraph as the entire document refers to XKRs but the paragraph references XJR vehicles. FYI as of this post I have not contacted the local dealer for service so I cannot confirm.

Thank you. I received the notice and called Seattle jaguar. The letter said the repair(reflash of the ecm) should take 20 mins. So the service adviser at Seattle jaguar , tells me they will need the car overnight. I say why? They say it has to be cold. I say "it has to be cold to reflash the ecm?" He goes," oh sorry, wrong recall". So then he says "I will have to be before 1pm in case they need to call a tech in N.Y". I'm like, man, I don't really want to take time off from work for what is a 20 min. repair.
What a bunch of f*****g idiots.
I have never had my MIL light come on, so, I'm not sure I even want these clowns touching my Jag.
Hell, I was going to talk the sales staff into a quick test drive in a 2012 XKR....
Are all the jag dealers this F**ed up?
