08 XK - have arrived

I was sent a photo of an '07 XKR that a dealer is trying to get me to buy at $1500 over invoice. The car next to it made it into the picture too. No aerial antenna, folding mirrors, and different wheels. Definitely an '08. Has anyone else seen them live yet?
I tried uploading the photo to my post but I can't seem to get it to work.

Yep. I am faced with the decision of buying an '07 XKR for $500 over invoice - roughly $87,000 or putting in an order for an '08 for MSRP - about $96,000. Difference of $9 grand. Any opinions?
A third choice that I'm still considering is a preowned loaded XK with only 450 miles on it for $71,000. I love the power of the XKR, but at $16,000 less then the '07 XKR I'm not sure which way to go. Would love any thoughts or suggestions you people might be willing to share.

Personally, I would go with the '08 XKR. The '07s had a few annoying "bugs" which the '08 wont have.
If you are really performance oriented, you might want to wait. For '09, they might have a 500bhp XK. It wont be an R, it will get a different
designation.

500 bhp in a lightweight car. that's Z06 type fast. 420hp is ample for me and I agree that '08 should have less bugs....at least I hope. Thanks for your feedback - it's exactly what I needed to hear. Any opinion on the XKR Portfolio edition? Stereo is very important to me - and the XKR Portfolio's B&W speaker system might be good enough for me to pony up the extra dough. Would think (and I could be wrong) that they might hold their value well due to limited quantity?
Id def go for a barely used example. Take the huge savings get some nice custom wheels, maybe an exhaust and a mcintosh sound system...better then any factory setup plus no one else will have it and you can use it on a diff car if you decide to sell!

I've managed to talk myself into buying the 2008 XKR portfolio. I just think if I buy the '07 XK I'll be bummed I didn't step up and get the XKR.
