Default 1997 cam cover gaskets

Hello all,
I am inching ever closer to replacing the cam tensioners in my 1997 XK8. I am searching for gaskets and found the following set for a 2000 MY XK8 on the RockAuto site. It is p/n vs50397 by Mahle. Consists of 2 valve cover gasket/seals and assorted small seals. This set is not listed in the section for the 1997,1998, or 1999 XK8.
Will this all fit the 1997 engine as replacements?
Thanks,
Dennis

Absolutely not, much too narrow. You need NCA2515AE and NCA2516AE. One is sort of red, the other grey. Also NCA2578BB spark plug seals and AJ810510 spacer grommets.

no.

if you wanted to you can swap the valve covers to one from a 99 and up XJR and use the later gaskets

RJ,
Thank you so much! That's the knowledge of the forum at work. Saved me from a mess again.
Cheers,
Dennis

Xalty,
Thanks for the response.
I will stay with my original covers and seek out the correct to year gaskets. Thanks for the great idea though.
