Default 1997 XK 8 Convertible - To Sell Or Not to Sell

It's been a while for me but I am thinking of selling soon. I believe only a forum member would truly appreciate this car. I spent quite a bit on her. Timing tensioners , rear diff. leak, new oil pump as well as all new bearings in lower end. No electrical issues. Completely serviced in everyway. Body is stunning. New leather seat covers ( $750.) not yet installed. Truly mechanically sound and reliable. Now the question , what is she worth. 106K on car with only 2 K on all the work. Runs great , drives beautifully. Top is perfect. See pics. Between purchase and investment I have $15K in her. Never will recover. But the time driving her is worth every dime. Just bought a new Challenger and have run out of room. My 69 corvette and 69 GTO have taken all other spaces available. So is asking 10K totally out of line for a car that will need nothing. I had all the work done so you don't need too do any of the heavy lifting on this one. Just throwing this out there. If need be I will keep her and figure where to park her. Maybe throw wife's car out of her spot in garage and take that spot. You can e-mail me to discuss. LOL

Very nice, sorry to see you are thinking of selling but completely understandable...IMHO $10K would be top dollar for a 97 likely more like $8K.

. That sounds about right. Challenger / Scat Pak is delivered in 6-8 weeks. Both garages full. I am not putting this car in the driveway. I hope I can find the right person for her. Thx for the input.

Hi, very nice looking Jag. Ask what you think it's worth and see what happens. You can always go down if necessary but it's difficult to go up.

Considering you've already done the upgrades, $10k is not out of the question. At the end of the day, you can only get what somebody's willing to give for it.

I think you'll get your price!! Keep us posted & good luck!!!
