Hi all,

So, as electrical is not my forté, and due to the age of some of the other posts about this topic.. Hoping this isn't too redundant but...

I want to upgrade the bulbs in my car with LEDs.. first the signal lights (the four behind the orange and red lenses.. North American car), then the headlights/taillights (well, probably xenons and not LEDs for these), then the interior ones.. I've got the clear lens replacements for the signal lights already..

I've seen a couple posts where the replacements are from 1999 Jaguar XK-Type LED Lights - CARiD.com that site.. were most of these unavailable at the time of the other posts? Are most of these direct plug and play replacements or will I have to mess with the wiring?

Most people that had tried various interior LEDs esp the dash have reverted back to stock, just seems to be a better lighting. The exterior I think you need to ensure they have a pulldown resistor, some have changed them without and they will 'glow' after the car is shut down for several secs.

 

That's the conclusion I came to, too. I was hoping to just bulk order all the exterior ones for now, at least - wondering if carid.com is a decent source for all of them? Looks too simple.. shows that they carry everything!

 

Hi emaychbe, I am thinking of doing the same thing, if you have already bought and install the carid.com parts, would you be able to comment on how well they are and how they look? thanks
