1997 xk8 with sport interior
I have an xk8 with the sport interior which Jaguar thought would appeal to younger drivers. How rare is this model as I have never seen another version but assuming they must have sold a few. The sport interior has the half leather seats with a dark dash and black steering wheel. Has anybody else got one - never seen them for sale. Just interested.
Iv no idea, never seen one, what year is your car, some pictures of the sport interior would be good..
maybe last year some one did the interior as an April fools joke..
sorry its 1997

It is part of a special series when Jaguar decided to participate in NASCAR in the mid 90's.
The car came with a solid rear axle, open exhaust, a small block V8 and an optional roll cage, powder coated body color. Rumor has it that there was a special compartment in the trunk outfitted with a bottle of moonshine, but it is was never confirmed.
Series was to start on April 1st 1997, but was abruptly cancelled with no further explanations, likely after the Jaguar staff located said moonshine.

Welcome to the forums Ant Dav,
On the early X100's the sport interior was optional on the XK8 and standard on the XKR for the European market. However, the actual specification of either depended on the whims of the original purchaser.

Yes it is april fools day and I think there may be some out there. This is an extract from wikipedia - will get some pics. "Two interior configurations were offered, the sport configuration was aimed at young buyers and had a leather interior with cloth seats while the classic trim featured more amenities". Its a 97 model all other elements are the same
