Default Rare X-Type Sport in the local junkyard

HI everybody, In case anybody is looking for parts, there is a rare 2005 X-Type Sport in the local self-service junkyard in Denver Colorado. It's all black with black factory wheels, sport suspension, blacked out chrome and rear deck spoiler. The interior is black leather, with leather and alcantara racing-look bucket seats. There is also alcantara on the doors and ceiling. The dashboard, middle console and doors all have carbon fiber on them. When I saw it, all I could say was "WOW"! My X-Type is Radiance Red Metallic with Ivory interior, so the black Sport is a big difference to look at..

I forgot to say, it looks like the Sport also has different exhaust than a regular X-Type too..

My CHB w parchment interior has the chrome exhaust tips like that one. Not a sport btw. Idk if they were an option or an addition as they were on it @ purchase. Cleaning them is kinda fun though.

That interior definitely is rare. Those are not stock wheels either. They almost look too small for the car. 17" or 18" was waht came on it. Does look like the owner put on aftermarket mufflers. Can't tell what they are exactly, but not Borlas or Mina Gallery, which were more oval.

How many miles are on the car and what is the condition of the alcantara? When I had mine the alcantara was getting pretty worn in the drivers seat. The eather portion of the seat still looked like new and it had 160K miles on it.

Any idea why it was junked?

It's located in Aurora Colorado, just outside of Denver. I don't know the miles since the battery is dead. The whole interior including the alcantara is beautiful, except for needing a heavy cleaning. The drivers seat had one cigarette hole in the alcantara that I'd noticed. The car was complete, so I don't know why it was junked. The driveshaft mid bearing was worn out at the rubber bushing though, so maybe the owner thought the transmission was shot since it probably vibrated heavily at highway speeds. The car is in worse condition than the pictures above by now since the customer stripping process has started. The tractor that moved it also dented up the quarter panel and trunk lid. In all, there were five X-Types in that junkyard when I went yesterday, a silver one, a dark blue one, a gray one, a light green one, and this black one. That's why I like working on this car, because parts are readily available. In addition, it's a car of lesser popularity, so they last long in the junkyards. About the exhaust, while I was crawling around under the car I did notice that the exhaust looked stock.
