I would ask if anyone has modified the Jaguar X Type Head unit by changing the display screen ?
My intention is to fit an android system as a replacement.
Appreciate any information from members who have made this mod.

Iownme, this is the same guy from other thread where we already gave that suggestion. Apparently he likes cluttering up the forum.

 

This is the same guy who has made 4 posts in 3 years - some clutter. This is the same guy who is trying to find out enough information on a mod.
This is the same guy who did not get as yet enough information to be committing shed-loads of dosh on parts he may not need. This the same guy who is very grateful to IOWNME for his suggestion - one that I did pursue but needed further facts. This is same guy who is wondering why on every forum there is a self appointed and unofficial policeman who likes to bully everyone he feels contravenes his sense of behaviour.

I want to change my stuff too, got almost all the parts but need a harness and climate module and then need to find big ones so I don't mind tearing apart my pristine CAR. Not really worth it go aftermarket and find a Store that sells Big Ones. Ive read and watched all the videos very difficult. If you need help don't do it.

 

Looking at the related video's I agree with you - however being a stubborn sob I will do it and try to make it work. Yes and post the results one way or the other on here.
To date awaiting my head unit - I suppose my main concern is losing the Climate Control as I live in Cyprus it gets .......... hot !.
