1999 rear bumper mounts
My rear bumper mounts need replacing on my UK spec XK8.
Can I fit the US version (they look far more rugged)? will they fit my existing bumper?
Also do the US mounts return to original shape after a low speed impact (e.g. like shocks/dampers) or do they remain compressed?

I've replaced a few of the composite fibreglass/aluminium Bumper Struts (in your berkshire Jag Components photo) but always because of failure of the aluminium and not through impact.
As far as I recall from earlier discussions on the US Rear Bumper, the Bumper Cover itself is the same on both but the Bumper Beam is aluminium on the energy absorbing design and not the fibreglass moulding with brass inserts on the UK version. There could therefore be alignment issues with the US energy absorbing Bumper Struts on a UK Bumper Beam.
