1999 XK8 Convertable top/rear windows

1999 XK8 Convertable top/rear windows
I am new to this forum, so I know there are probably hundreds of threads on this issue, but after wanting a Jag since I was 10 and waiting 60 years to get one I just received my XK8.
There is an issue with the top not going down, dealer states they will fix thru a local Jag mechanic (bought in California and live in Indy.
This will take time to set up, so I want to drive car. Now the rear windows do not go up.
Is there a switch for rear window control. Car came with no manual and all the on line manuals say XK8 but are in fact for the XJ.
There are some other minor issues that can wait for later, but this car is a joy to drive and is everything I always wanted in my JAG

David - first -welcome and thanks for your service! As you mentioned there are threads addressing top issues - first step is checking fluid levels and that it is the correct fluid - greenish vice yellow/brown. The older fluid has a tendency to gel in the lines.
As for windows - you can try to ensure the rams have fully extended and retry raising the windows with the switch or you can jumper the relays (see details in below links)
the manuals are available on this site for free - simply scroll to the top of the XK8/XKR forum and look for the How To's - open that thread and you will find a treasure trove of info.
