1999 XK8 Headlamp lens...Grrrrrrr.
So I noticed my passenger side headlamp lens is cracked. I figure the errant rock was shot from a tire sometime in the night. I search and search and search....and search again for a replacement lens on line. I can find the whole assembly from $1399 to $2199. I only need the lens for the assembly, not the whole dang thing.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement lens? Just the glass exterior lens?

Try giving Jaguar Heaven a call. They have lots of used parts from the earlier X100 cars.

I'd go with 01Silverstone's advice to source a used one.
The Lens is available separately from Jaguar. Here is the non-powerwash details but the powerwash option is also listed:

Time after time I read on the forum about members who won't go to the dealer. It's the first place I go to get a cost on parts. Only then can I judge whether alternative or aftermarket suppliers are a better deal. Presumably from the online costs you found for complete headlamp assemblies, you didn't think of checking with the dealer?

+1 I always check with the dealer as well. First, I am sometimes surprised that the part is not more expensive and second, if it is higher priced then I feel that much better when I order an aftermarket part and save $$. Just makes it feel that much more like a savings.

I don't have a dealer anymore, closest one is over a hundred miles away. They closed it down last year. It was the same dealer who handles about twenty different brands and has one of the biggest complexes in the area it covers about 10 square blocks. I guess they never sold enough Jags to make it profitable. I buy from the dealers who support our forum. They'll usually give us a discount.
