I am brand new to the forum after I finally purchased my dream car...1999 XK8 in British Green. Checked on the tensioners, had some stuff tuned up and so far loving it. Timeless design...

My question is, since I am trying to get newer looking tail lights, if there's a chance to use the assembly from 2001 and newer (one with chrome frame)?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Yes, but it is not a direct replacement, it involves a bit of modification since the lights mount differently and are wired a little differently. Do a quick search and you should be able to find it. Tony (XKRacer) I believe did the writeup and he also sells a reproduction of the scarce and expensive inside trim piece needed for the conversion.
