Posted an issue earlier on my cruise control but whilst looking up ECU info I found a site that said they can remap an XKR 1999..

'The Jaguar XK8 (X100) 1996-2005 takes the power from 370bhp up to 400bhp and the torque from 387lb/ft up to 410lb/ft. This stage of software is designed as a software upgrade only meaning it is all within safe tolerances of the engine and drivetrain and requires no hardware modifications.'

Company called Celtictuning.

Anyone have any experience?

 

Never heard of this and from what I have read here in my years since 09 the ECM will not tolerate a reprogram. And HP is 290 97-2002 and 294 2003-2006.

 

He is referring to the XKR, just a typo. But a power increase of that magnitude may be possible with a software mod. There are several companies that can do this.

 

Interesting, I was always led to believe that it was too difficult to do...
