Unfortunately, you'll probably be very disappointed at what it would actually sell for, as they really depreciate dramatically. That is a gorgeous car..............I wouldn't sell it, I'd find a better mechanic!
Good luck with it,
Brian

Before you sell it, just disconnect the battery for 20 minutes, reconnect and see what happens. Since you mention a new battery, I assume it is fully charged.

Drinking isn't all that bad.

I'll give you $1000 for it.

But the 'better mechanic' is probably good advice.

Don't start back drinking tha Sauce or the problems you think you have now will be a distant dream when you wake up in Jail or hooked up to Dialysis Machine

Find a better Mechanic, all that going on at once makes me think it is probally something very simple to fix in the right hands....Good Luck

Good choice jaggy, check the regional section of the forum, find your area, and post a question for a reliable jag mechanic, whether it be an independent or a good dealer. If no joy there, just call around and ask if they have experience in these cars. If not more than 'one or two', i'd pass. The electrical systems and computer on the jags are very sensitive to changes and repairs. All it may take is clearing of all codes and a proper drive cycle to fulfill the computer's needs. A dealer will be able to clear even the most advanced codes (ABS, tranny, air bags included), but other code readers will only be able to clear engine codes. My first inclination would be to take it to a dealer, pay the $125 service fee, explain your recent battery/alternator replacement, and let them work their magic. Could be all you need to get you on the road and thoughts of sobriety maintained. good luck.
