Default 2001 XK8 headrest stuck

I would like to lower the headrest on my drivers seat of my 2001 XK8. I do not need them to work, I just want to lower the headrest to match my pass. seat. The motor makes noise but the headrest does not move. Thanks

You pretty much have to get under the leather of the seat back and rotate the motor drive. If you are in there already, you might as well repair it. See the many threads and youtube video on various repair methods.

Probably a little late for you but take a look at YOUTUBE and search for XK8 Headrest problem. A guy called rev sam does a video on this.

Having done this fix myself take a word of advice. TAKE THE SEAT OUT OF THE CAR TO DO IT! You would not believe the time and positions I got into trying to do it in the car. If you get stuck or have an questions just pm me
