Default 2001 XK8 how to drain the fuel tank

I have a 2001 XK8 that has been sitting for awhile. I would like to drain the fuel tank. Syphon does not seem to work very well. Is there a way to pump the fuel out of the tank using the fuel pump?

Start the engine and let it run. Why do you want to drain it?

Default Use a little ari pressure

Put your siphon hose in and place a rag around the hose sealing the filler hole. Poke your air nozzle in through the rag and blow a little air in. It will start siphoning asap!

The reason I want to drain the tank is because the car has been sitting for two years after an engine failure. I do not want to run the new engine with the old gas.

You can disconnect the fuel rail supply hose in the engine compartment and get a hose to a large container.
Then jump the relay socket (30/87 or 3 and 5) terminals with a short length of wire to run the fuel pump without the engine running.

The relay is in the boot fuse/relay box behind the battery.
The relay position is..X

I believe the fuel rail supply is under the fuel rail shown here. I think this is the return line and I can disconnect it and connect a rubber hose to the brown tubing to drain the tank using the fuel pump. And no need to plug the female receiver on the fuel return line.
Is that correct?

I disconnected the fuel filter and pumped it from the rearmost pipe.

I pulled the return line from connect and attached a rubber hose then used a switch connected to relay contacts. Just over 9 minutes for 5 gallons
