2001 XKR repairs to expect at 57k miles
I am looking at a 2001 XKR with about 57k miles. The asking price is $13,999.
I have not seen the car yet but it is said to be one owner. The only drawback (to me) is that it is red but I can never seem to come across the color combo that I like at the price I can afford.
What repairs or replacement for the sake of no surprises can i expect for this car and are there any inherent costly expectations (like timing belts busting etc) ?
I just got through popping a bunch of money into an 04 GTO with 18k+ Miles in pristine condition and hate t sell it because it is a thrill ride but I love the XKR.

Lots of information in our newly created Frequently Asked Question page, try there first, and see if you have any more inquiries.
I always see tons of XK8s and XKRs at cars.com and autotrader, what color ext/interior you looking for? coupe or vert?

I don't think you can go wrong with a Red 2001 XKR. I bought one a few months ago and the only problem I've had is that I dying to drive it, but have it stowed away in the garage until the weather clears up a bit. Mine has 34K miles on it. It runs great (knock on wood), no major problems. Minor problem is that the driver side headrest won't operate.
All in all, YOU WILL LOVE THIS CAR! Get it! It sounds like a very good deal as well.

I bought a 1/18 2000 XKR BRG Coupe. It's made by Solido. Not quite as good quality as some but OK. They were distributed in Europe and UK, not usually found in US. You may be able to to locate one. I also bought a Red one. I found both of them on eBay.

Guys, I would hate to tell you all the Jag related stuff I have in my office, including probably the largest Leaper that you'll ever see in a private residence. Along with all that I do have a 2000 Coupe in BRG...............oh yeah, a Converible also.....................oops, also a Coupe in Carnival Red..............etc.
