I picked up a 2002 XKR. Right headlight dip beam( low beam) inop. Pulled the round cover off and found that the previous owner rigged up some kind of bulb by cutting and splicing. I got the correct bulb and can’t figure out exactly what he did. An HID bulb was direct wired into 12 volts by previous owner ( no igniter ???). There apprars to be a 2 pin connector hanging loose. The original bulbs took a braided connector. That connector appears to be MIA along with the wire clip that holds the igniter with bulb into the projector housing. I can’t seem to find any detailed pics or instructions.

any helpful ideas out there?

An HID bulb will do nothing on 12v its a 20,000 volt ignition device .. so you need a ballast unit ..12v in / HID bulb out from ebay they are all the same . Or fit a LED unit as the lights are crap with a standard bulb.
