Default 2002 XKR conv. pass. window

Hello,

My passenger window will not go all the way up. It goes down fine but stops 3/4 of the way up. Can this be the window regulator? and if so where can I find on of these.

Thanks in advance.

Try to reprogram your window. To do this you push the window down button and hold until you hear or feel a click. Then push the window button for the window to close and hear or feel the click. This should be done when you are in the car and the door is closed. The window should operate properly by opening a slight bit when the door is opened and close when the door is closed.

This problem is often caused by a weak battery voltage. 10.5 or below they loose memory settings.

sounds like a window adjustment you can try to perform this yourself,i have seen many over the year.
once you remove the door panel you will be able to see the mounting points for the window regulator some have slots in the body, the ones that are slotted you may be able to see that the bold has slid from its original mounting position simply lossen and repletion,i would recomend having it done by some one who has done this in the past

I would try that 1st and make sure you have nothing binding on the window tracts

Exactly what Teck said! I had the same issue on my 02' S-Type. Pulled the door panel off and saw it had jumped the track. It started happening on a regular frequency and I realized it was from closing the door while the window was down. The track towards the front of the car is secured by a flimsy plastic piece, so I added a large metal bracket to act as a washer that helped firm up the entire plastic assembly. Haven't had the problem since, which was about August of last year.
