Thanks for the info on the cam chain tensioners. That would explain the rattling.
Well I'm not going to buy it, I'm amazed at how noisy the engine was with so low of mileage. If it's an oil pressure problem not pumping up the tensioners it would be worth his while to install a bypass hose on the oil cooler and take a new video, but he said he wasn't going to do any other work on the car to sell the engine "someone who can appreciate this engine for what it is will buy it". If he would spend a few minutes fixing the oil leak and it sounded better I might buy it, but not the way it sounds now!

Top(secondary) tensioners have a spring to keep static tension on the chains, then oil pressure takes over once the engine starts. Bottom(primary) tensioners are pure hydraulic with a non return valve.
