I suggest you download the "online catalogue" or order the paper version from SNG Barratt (Forum Sponsor). It really is an invaluable source of information with diagrams, part numbers etc.

I saw that but did check JagBits & Britishpartsonline websites and they show this being a direct fit for '97-'06 MY's.

If you look at pages 66 & 67 of the catalogue - item 1. - there's only one listed - no year differences mentioned. MJA6728AC. Not being pedantic, but it really is worth downloading the full catalogue - there is much more detail and full diagrams of how everything fits together.

I have the cat at home. This car is hard to get parts for when it comes to what fits what year. As I stated above I followed the link to the hose set up on the Barratt site and it said through 1999. When I see that I assume that is correct that my 03 it would not work with.

brgjag - I understand your caution - even with the catalog and other websites, I've run into issues - the last being the high pressure power steering hose - all catalogs I researched showed one design but what I received was no where near close to resembling what I thought I had ordered. Thanks to the forum, I found the original design had been superseded to the newer design.

I would get the 3 way connector (PN NNE3944BA) and replace that while you are in there

I had seen that on EBAY and wondered if I needed that. This is why I am slow to fix things, I don't know names of parts, what parts I need with it. Ha ha ha

Sorry to Hi-Jack this thread but a similar query ........... I'm planning on replacing all my hoses over the winter. Can anyone confirm please that the hose in the photo which connects to the back of the throttle body (1997 car - early type throttle body) is part of the "octopus hose" and NOT a separate component.
2003 Part# for the octopus coolant lines??-throttle-body-hose-arrow.jpg

Thanks,
David.
