Default 2003 Raked look???

Just got in the 2003 Jag tonight, delivered just fine. I do not recall my 97 having such a raked look, aka, the front sitting lower then the back. Is this the case?

Good for you..I got my 03 about 5 weeks ago and it also has the raked look. On mine the front is about 1 inch low per spec which maybe due to I need new shock mounts. I like the raked look! Enjoy.

US cars are higher in the back. I didn't like that look so fixed it with lowering springs. Someplace there is a post on why this is but I don't remember the reason.

Or maybe as your fuel is much cheaper than the uk you can always have a full tank.

The Jaguar Parts Catalogue doesn't list alternative springs/dampers specifically for the US market - the P/N's are the same for all markets with the only differences being adaptive/non adaptive control.

Several members have complained about the high back end and resolved this the same way as you. (Paul Pavlik has previously posted 'before' and 'after' photos of his XKR which perfectly illustrate the improvement).

On weekend road trips my wife carries 2 pieces of luggage and twenty pairs of shoes. Jag sits nice and flat.

When we go away, my wife's essentials fill the luggage compartment and I get the glove box.

I can live out of the glove box for at least ten days. And am usually forced to do so on the rare occasions when we travel together....

Wait, you guys get the glove box? Mine is full of SPF50, hair gel and makeup! I only get the space around the spare tire, only because she doesn't know it's there.

Well mine is the wife's car actually. It keeps her out of my 04 GTO.

Maybe if you put the spare tire cover in the upper position you could sneak a little extra space...
