2003 seats into a 2000 How to?

They fit!
Hi,
I hope you get a response on this!
A couple of weeks back I fitted some 02 seats (with the seperate headrests) to my 00 XKR.
They will bolt in no bother but you will need to apply power directly to the motors to move hem so you can tighten all four bolts.
I have managed to power up the lumbar on the seat switch but had to manually power the seat motors to bolt them into place and get them adjusted for me to drive but so far unable to work the wiring out to use the heaters and the seat control panel properly!
I have the wiring diagrams but I cant read them, so here's hoping an elecrical genius will solve the problems! I need help stating which wires on the seat go to to what on the 00 loom.....arrrggghhhh!
But on the plus side, they are in and look great

Agreed, they certainly look better than the aftermarket racing seats that came with mine.
I tried but failed to feed power to the motors for installation. Do you remember what pins you applied power to?
I just acquired two skids with motors from a 2000 xk8. My plan is to replace them and use the original wire harness.
Sell on the 2003 skids.

Not that straight forward sadly, the 96-00 loom has about 6-7 wires, the new seats have about 25!
Granted some of that is for the airbags but the new ones are also heated and have electric headrests!
As a rule, any wires that are brown with an stripe, need a live feed and black is to earth (2 iirc). The seat switches are different too so nothing is plug and play!
I can't honestly believe how different the looms are. The only common point between the two seats is the mounting holes in the subframe/floor. Oh well, at least I have them set in the right position!
